Balance Duo | Handmade Wooden Candle Holder | Reclaimed NZ Rimu
The idea behind the Balance holder was to create a visual grounding between two energies. Lighting the candles simultaneously, or one at a time, allows us to anchor in the presence of both emotions and polarities and bring awareness to what lies in the shadow - or what lies in the light.

Made from reclaimed native wood, finished with natural danish oil and complete with a solid brass insert. The Balance holder has been designed to fit our Kowhai, Karo and Flora candles perfectly.

Candles are powerful little things, they give us a moment of quiet amongst the rush to help us focus on and be able to discover our needs, things we want to create or make happen, and what kind of life we would like, or how we want our world around us to look.
We really believe that when we stop and become present with these intentions, beautiful things can happen. Those intentions could be whatever you felt you needed to balance but some we use at home are:
Morning & Night - Light one upon waking, and one before you sleep to bring presence and intention to your morning and gratitude to your evening.
Birth & Death - Light two candles simultaneously or one at a time- A very literal or symbolic nod to birth and death. Something you want to ‘birth’ ie a new project, and something you want to put to ‘death,’ like a habit you want to stop.
New Moon & Full Moon - Lighting the black candle on the new moon and bringing presence to what seeds or intentions you would like to plant for the month, and maybe something you would like to release that doesn’t serve you anymore. Lighting the black candle on the full moon and tuning in to what has come into fruition or manifestation and what you would like to celebrate.
Tenderness & Strength - Using varied colours of candles and focusing in on specific emotions that you want to anchor in - and honouring the opposing emotion to create balance within you.
Equinox - The time that our sun crosses the equator and we are in light for as many hours as we are in darkness. The beginning of the descent into Autumn or an emerging into Spring.
Masculine & Feminine / Ying & Yang - Black or Brown candle and Pink or White. Lighting simultaneously or one at a time to call in more of a particular energy. Want to have a productive working week? Focus on your masculine energy. Want to soften and be able to receive or give love and support to someone? Focus in on your feminine energy.
Light & Dark - Light a black candle and white, simultaneously to help anchor in polarities in emotion. You may want to acknowledge an emotion that is in the dark, and bring in more of the one that lies opposite to it, in the light.
Light: Something to call IN. Dark: Something to release OUT.

These also make a beautiful gift for those who have just got married as there is a candle for each person and they burn simultaneously together, side by side.

Fire Safety Alert: To ensure safe use of your candle holders, please extinguish candles once they have burned down to approximately 3 cm and replace them. Allowing candles to burn below this level can potentially split the wood and damage the protective varnish on the holder.
Please note that while the inserts are metal, they do not eliminate the risk of fire. Wooden holders can still ignite if candles are left burning unattended. For your safety, never leave a lit candle unattended.
